Solo Clocktower
New game
How to play
The goal
You're on the good team, and every other player is played by the computer. Somewhere among them is the Demon, who kills a player each night, helped by its Minions. Good wins by executing the Demon. Evil wins when just two players are left alive. Evil players pretend to be good, so you'll have to work out who's lying.
Starting a game
Choose a script (the set of characters that might be in play) and the number of seats, then press Random Seed and Start. The same seed always deals the same game. Press the i next to the script to read its characters, and click any character's name during the game to read what it does.
Night
Everyone sleeps. The Storyteller wakes you if your character does something at night, and tells you what you learn in the Storyteller panel. If you have a choice to make, click the player(s) in the town square and press Select. At dawn you'll hear who died.
Day: talking
Click a player, then Ask them in private. They'll tell you what character they claim to be, what they've learned, and who they trust or suspect. You can then Share My Info (your character and what you've learned) or Leave conversation. You can only talk to about half the living players each day, so choose carefully.
Not everyone tells the truth. Evil players always lie about who they are, and some good players hide a valuable character, or claim one, to fool the Demon. They may come clean later.
Day: nominating
When you're done talking, press Start Nominations (you can't talk any more that day). Then:
- Nominate: select a player and nominate them yourself.
- Request nomination: ask someone else to nominate the player you've selected.
- NPC nominations: let the next player who wants to nominate someone do so. They'll say why.
Each player can only be nominated once a day.
Day: voting
Each nomination goes to a vote. Your hand starts down: press Raise hand to vote (or Lower hand to change your mind) before the clock hand reaches you. If at least half the living players vote, and it's more votes than anyone else got today, that player is marked for execution (💀). Dead players get one last vote for the rest of the game, so save it.
When you're ready, press End day: whoever is marked is executed, and night falls.
Tips
- Click the clock tower in the middle of the town square to see the whole script. Its Night order button shows who wakes, and when.
- The Public log keeps everything said in public, and the Storyteller panel everything you've learned.
- Some characters have their own buttons by day (the Slayer's shot, the Gossip's statement...).
- With 4 or fewer players alive, Round Robin (once a game) has every player say their character and information in public.
- When the game ends, the Final reveal shows everyone's character and everything that happened.
